Suspect accused of holding 'large knife' to man's throat in Kirkland armed robbery

KIRKLAND -- Police took four people into custody after an armed robbery was reported early Friday morning in north Kirkland.

Kirkland police received reports of a possible armed robbery in the 8200 block of NE 145th Street in Finn Hill around 2:00 a.m.

Officers located the victim who said a man in his 40s stole $800 cash and his cell phone. He told officers that the suspect got into a car with two other men and a woman and fled the scene.

About 20 minutes later, Washington State Patrol troopers found the car on southbound I-405 and stopped it near SE 38th Street in Factoria.

All four people inside were taken into custody for questioning.
