1 person struck by car, another dragged as suspected beer thief flees

Sedro-Woolley police believe this man stole beer then ran over shopkeeper who tried to stop him.



SEDRO-WOOLLEY -- Police are searching for a suspect accused of injuring two people after stealing beer from a store Thursday night.

According to Sedro-Woolley police, two James Market employees chased a man who was trying to steal beer around 9:30 p.m. While he was trying to get away, police said the suspect struck one of the employees with his car and dragged another.

One of the employees was taken to the hospital. That person's condition is unknown.

Investigators described the suspect as a white man who got into a light-colored 4-door SUV which had a total of four people inside -- three men and one woman.
