Police: Man brags about eluding police, gets arrested

PUYALLUP - Here's yet another reason to be careful about what you post on social media. Puyallup police arrested a man after he bragged about eluding police during a high speed chase, and then posting his "deed" on Facebook, the News Tribune reported.

Back on September 7 the man was reportedly driving about 80 miles per hour near River Road, and then cut in front of a Puyallup police officer. The officer pursued the man, who was weaving in and out of traffic, the paper reported.

The officer ended the pursuit as the driver hit 100 miles per hour, heading toward Tacoma.

Police were able to track down and contact the registered owner of the car, the man's mother, who reportedly gave police a print out of her son's
Facebook post: "Good times!!! River Road cops couldn't catch me what's up?"

Police then confronted the man, at which time the man apologized and admitted to fleeing from police during the pursuit, the paper reported. The man reportedly pleaded not guilty in court to attempting to elude a police vehicle; his bail was set at $10,000, the News Tribune reported.
