10-year-old gives father a note that makes him instantly quit his $100 million job

A few months ago, the CEO of Pimco got a devastating letter from his 10-year-old daughter that altered his career.

Mohamed El-Erian, now the former chief executive of the investment firm, said "She gave me a list that she had compiled of her important events that i had missed due to work commitments. Talk about a wake-up call. The list included 22 items, from her first day at school and first soccer match of the season to a parent-teacher meeting and a Halloween parade."

After initially getting defensive, El-Erian acknowledged that his high-flying job had caused him to miss a lot of important moments.
