Niketown robbers caught on camera threatening employees with metal shoe measuring device
WANTED BY SEATTLE POLICE -- Seattle detectives hope you can identify a two women who used a shoe measuring device as a getaway weapon at the downtown Nike store. "This basically starts out as a shoplifting case, where the suspects take about $700 worth of clothing," said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner. "As they're starting to exit the store, they approach the clerk on duty and he engages in conversation, and then all of a sudden things go bad. Suspects in this case grab what they call a metal foot measuring device. They're long and pretty heavy, and all of a sudden you'll see in the video the two of them are basically looking like they're going to thrash the clerk on duty and they keep backing him up and then all of a sudden they bolt from the store and exit into a suspect vehicle."
Detectives say the vehicle was a white Ford SUV with Utah plates that start with "X71." One woman wore all black clothing and white shoes. The other suspect was wearing purple pants with a gold stripe down the sides.
