Former 'Jersey Shore' cast member accused of tax fraud on nearly $9 million in income

NEWARK, N.J. -- Former "Jersey Shore" cast member Mike  'The Situation' Sorrentino pleaded not guilty Wednesday to failing to properly pay taxes on nearly $9 million in income, news media reported.

According to NJ.com, during a brief appearance in U.S. District Court, Sorrentino's attorney entered the plea and Sorrentino was released on a $250,000 bail.

Sorrentino, who arrived in court in a white BMW, left in a gray Kia driven by his attorney, NJ.com said.

"The situation will sort itself out," Sorrentino told reporters, according to the news site.
