PARENTS: Use this website to donate items AND raise money for local schools

SEATTLE -- I think this is such a great concept for parents: SwopBoard, an online resource that allows people to sell and trade items; and in doing so, raise money for local schools.

Natalie Angelillo founded this local startup, but it's now in most states across the country. You can sell items to others in the community, and select a portion of that sale (as little as 10% all the way up to 100%) to go to the school or school project of your choice.

Most recently, SwopBoard has partnered with Value Village for a pilot program in Seattle that allows schools to earn money when parents donate used items.
