CAPTURED: Seattle police arrest high-risk rapist who went missing from mental hospital

FUGITIVE CAPTURED Sept. 8, 2014 -- Level 3 sex offender, Eric Wyatt, who disappeared from Western State Hospital last week was booked into the King County Jail early Tuesday morning. Seattle police officers saw Q13 FOX News at 9 and 10 on Monday night, and remembered that they had seen a guy matching Wyatt's description earlier in the day in Capitol Hill. They alerted officers on the next shift who spotted him around 4am walking in the 200 block of Broadway and took him into custody. Officers say Wyatt told them he just planned to walk around until he was caught. FUGITIVE WANTED BY DOC IN PIERCE COUNTY Sept. 8, 2014 -- Department of Corrections officers are asking for the public’s help finding Eric Wyatt after the level 3 sex offender escaped from Western State Mental Hospital. The convicted rapist was given a day pass but didn’t return.  He has had them in the past and has always come back to the hospital. Officers say he was wearing blue jeans,  an orange and black San Francisco Giants hoodie over a green Boston Celtics shirt with 'Rondo' written on the back. He has no facial hair, no front teeth and is 6’5” and 235 pounds. He was convicted of raping a male roommate. He could be in Tacoma, Lakewood or the motels along the Aurora corridor in Seattle. Officers say he has the mental capacity of a 14 year old and cannot control his sexual urges. Wyatt sometimes calls himself 'Erica' or 'Golden Spoon', and is off his medication. Officers say he should be considered dangerous.
