Police investigating reports of flasher outside West Seattle's Holy Rosary School

WEST SEATTLE -- Police are investigating reports of a man exposing himself to at least one child near a playground at the Holy Rosary School in West Seattle.

According to Seattle police, students told school administrators that a man in his 30s stepped out of a vehicle and exposed himself to children on the school's playground around 12:30 p.m. Monday on 41st Avenue SW.

Students said the man leaned against a vehicle and did not have any clothing on the bottom part of his body. Students told administrators and police the man was not on school property, but outside the fence on the street.

Police were immediately notified and three squad cars and three other officers were on the scene within six minutes, Seattle Police Department Spokesperson Drew Fowler said.

No suspects have been found.

The reported flasher is described as a white, heavyset man in his 30s. He was wearing a yellow and blue shirt and he stood outside a parked silver vehicle -- possibly a minivan -- police said.

Holy Rosary,  a private Catholic school serving kindergarten through 8th grade, has sent an alert to parents regarding the incident.

Numerous flashers have been reported in West Seattle throughout the past two years, but it is unknown if this incident is connected.
