WATCH: What's it like to be a crab trapped in a pot?

BIRCH BAY, Wash – Have you ever wondered what it’s like for crabs in a pot before they’re pulled to the surface?

Wonder no longer.

A crabber off Birch Bay dropped his GoPro camera into a pot before dropping the whole things nearly 50 feet down into the water.

The video shows the pot as it fills with crabs scuttling in to get the bait.

But it’s not just the crabs attracted to the pot.

“First time I’ve seen so many dogfish circling a pot and biting it,” wrote the crabber on YouTube.  “Must be our bait.”

On Facebook the crabber, who identifies himself as John VH, wrote that the dogfish sharks were ‘biting and ramming the pot.’
