Motorcyclist dies in I-5 crash; two lanes blocked

A crash on northbound I-5 this morning killed one motorcyclist.



LYNNWOOD -- A motorcyclist died in a crash with a car on northbound Interstate 5 Thursday morning, the Washington State Patrol said.

According to WSP, the motorcyclist riding a Suzuki rear-ended ended a Toyota Corolla around 8 a.m. just south of 160th Street near Lynnwood.

Aid workers called to the scene administered CPR, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead a short time later. It is unknown how fast the motorcyclist was going, or what caused the crash.

Two left lanes were closed following the crash, WSP said.  The lanes were expected to be closed at least two hours.

The WSP is investigating.
