Olympia police ask public's help identifying man whose body was found in water

OLYMPIA -- Police asked for the public's help Thursday in identifying a black man whose body was found in the water at Percival Landing along the city's waterfront on Wednesday.

"Police have been unable to identify the man and no identifying information was found with the body,"  the city of Olympia said in a news release. "The individual is described as an African-American man, estimated to be between 25 and 40 years of age.  He was wearing a North Face jacket when recovered from the water. "

Cause of death has not yet been determined, the release said.

Park employees at Percival Landing in Olympia came across a body this morning around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
