OAKLAND -- The Raiders (2 - 2) went on to defeat the Seahawks (2 - 2) 41 – 31 in their final preseason game Thursday night.

It was the last chance for players to prove themselves before the Seahawks have to trim their roster down to 53 players by Sunday.

Quarterback Russell Wilson played just one drive leading the Hawks to a touchdown on a 25-yard pass to Luke Willson.

From there, the Raiders took control – scoring on their next three drives and catapulting them to an early 21 – 7 lead in the 1st quarter.

The Raiders had two single-play drives resulting in touchdowns on passes from Derek Carr to Denarius Moore (36-yards) and Mychal Rivera (20-yards). Those drives lasted just 7 and 6 seconds respectively.

The Raiders would stretch their lead to 28 – 7 in the 2nd quarter before the Hawks responded.

Seahawks cornerback DeShawn Shead had a 54-yard pick-six off of a Phillip Adams deflection.

Later in the 2nd quarter, the Raiders pulled Carr and brought in QB Matt McGloin – who led the team on an 8-play, 55-yard scoring drive. That gave the Raiders a commanding 35 – 14 lead.

Terelle Pryor took over inside the 2-minute warning and marched the Hawks’ offense 87-yards down the field in 10 plays. Phil Bates caught a 33-yard TD pass putting the Hawks back in the game just before the half, trailing 35 – 21.

The second half was fairly quiet. Oakland put up a field goal in the 3rd quarter.

Hausckha kicked a 27-yarder in the 4th quarter cutting Oakland’s lead to 38 – 24.

The Hawks brought in B.J. Daniels at QB late in the game. Daniels looked sharp completing 4/5 passes in an 8-play, 91-yard drive ending with a 7-yard TD pass to Bryan Walters.

What’s next? The Seahawks regular season kicks off next Thursday against the Green Bay Packers.
