Two suspects on the loose following wild police chase, crash

RENTON -- One suspect is caught and two others are being sought after a car chase through King County ended when the suspects crashed their SUV in the woods.

Deputies say the chase began early Tuesday near SE 190th Street and 148th Avenue in Renton when they noticed two cars parked suspiciously on the side off the road in the Fairwood neighborhood. One of the vehicles took off and deputies started the chase.

Deputies say they terminated the chase but managed to follow the suspects into the Birkshire Apartment complex in Renton. The suspects rammed through a metal gate and drove down a dirt road before rolling down an embankment and crashing in a wooded area in the 1300 block of Eagle Ridge Drive South.

Deputies caught one of the three men inside the SUV but two others ran away. Deputies launched a two hour man hunt with a K-9 but were not able to find the two men.

The third suspect was taken to a hospital for minor injuries from the accident.
