Police: Suspect robbed man who watched daughter play at park

SEATTLE -- Police are looking for the suspect in a strong arm robbery of a man who was watching his daughter play at a local park Friday night.

According to the Seattle Police Department, the victim was watching his young daughter play at a park around 8:30 p.m. Friday in the 8800 block of Rainier Avenue South. A man sitting on a bench in the park allegedly approached the victim, who was talking on his phone, and tried to rip the phone out of his hand.

A struggle ensued, and the suspect grabbed the man's Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and took off.

A witness told police he saw the two men fight, and the suspect hit the victim in the face.

A police search of the scene did not locate any suspects.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s wearing a black stocking hat, a white track jacket with black lettering and dark pants.
