5 rushing TDs as Seahawks dominate Chargers in 41 - 14 win (RECAP)

Running back Robert Turbin #22 of the Seattle Seahawks celebrates with quarterback Russell Wilson #3 of the Seattle Seahawks after scoring a touchdown during the first quarter of the game against the San Diego Chargers at CenturyLink Field on August

SEATTLE -- The Seahawks (1 - 1) dominated their second preseason game of the season -- going on to a 41 – 14 win against the Chargers (1 - 1).

It was the Hawks first time playing at CenturyLink Field in front of a home crowd since their 23-17 NFC Championship win against the 49ers in January. You wouldn’t have known it was a preseason game thanks to the 12s who made just as much noise as ever.

The Seahawks had five rushing touchdowns Friday night -- four of them by quarterbacks Russell Wilson, Terrelle Pryor and B.J. Daniels, the other by running back Robert Turbin.

Wilson led the Hawks on all but one drive in the first half. He completed 11 out of 13 passes for 121 yards leading the Hawks on four scoring drives.

The Seahawks first touchdown came on a 74-yard drive less than five minutes into the game on a one-yard rush by Robert Turbin.

Wilson led the Hawks to another touchdown in the second quarter -- scoring on a one-yard keeper.

Hauschka couldn’t miss – as usual – drilling 38 and 55-yard field goals. (The Seahawks did not have a single punt!)

QB Terrelle Pryor took over for Wilson at the end of the 2nd quarter.

Pryor made moves in the second half running for a 44-yard touchdown to give the Hawks a 20-point lead.

The Hawks brought in B.J. Daniels in the 4th quarter to see what he could do. Daniels led the team on a 7-play, 55-yard drive and rushed for a 6-yard touchdown.

On the other side, Philip Rivers played only one drive with 2 completions for 20 yards.

Chargers QB Kellen Clemens got the Chargers on the board just before halftime with a 13-yard touchdown pass to Keenan Allen.

The Chargers’ second score came late in the 3rd quarter on a 3-yard touchdown pass in a 7:20, 87-yard drive.

By the way, the Hawks also defeated the Chargers last year in the preseason 31 -- 10.

What’s next? The Chicago Bears play the Seahawks on Friday, August 22nd. Coverage gets underway at 6:00 p.m. on Q13 FOX.
