OLYMPIA, Wash – The state is sending central Washington communities hit by wildfire money to help promote tourism.

Friday Gov. Inslee approved $150,000 to boost tourism in the Methow Valley and Okanogan County. Both areas were hit especially hard by the Carlton Complex Fire.

The money is expected to be used to bring tourists back to the area this summer and fall.
