Police: Woman robbed at gunpoint sitting on park bench

SEATTLE – Police say a woman was robbed at gunpoint in a Capitol Hill park Wednesday night.

The woman told police she was sitting on a bench in Prentis Frazier Park around 10:20pm when two men she didn’t know walked up to her. She said one man pointed a silver revolver at her face and told her to give him her stuff.

The woman told police she screamed and then the man with the gun told her to be quite or he would shoot her.

The woman gave the men her backpack and her phone.

Officers search the area after being called to the scene, but couldn’t find either man.

The woman described the two as black men in the 30s. One was roughly 5’ 9” and the other 6 feet tall.

The woman said the men ran south on 24th Ave East and got into a dark 4-door sedan.
