Authorities arrest man accused of stealing semi, assaulting sheriff's deputy

SNOHOMISH COUNTY -- A man accused of stealing a semi-truck and assaulting a sheriff's deputy was arrested Thursday.

A 10-wheel semi was reported around 12:30 p.m. on the 2600 block of Norman Road in the Stanwood area, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office

A deputy found the semi and the suspect soon after the report. Officials said the deputy approached the suspect who then fled on foot.

Officials used a K-9 to track the suspect to Church Ck Gulch and Jensen Road where he was taken into custody.

The deputy suffered minor injuries.
