16-year-old girl assaulted at out of control party, police say

EDMONDS -- Police are looking for suspects in the assault of a 1 6-year-old girl at an out of control party.

Around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the 8400 block of 191st Street SW in Edmonds. When they arrived, police found what appeared to be a juvenile party that had gotten out of control and was spilling onto the street.

Police found a girl who claimed she was attacked at the party, and had a serious neck-wound. She was taken to Swedish Hospital in Edmonds with non-life-threatening injuries and her parents were notified.

Police interviewed witnesses at the party and learned that gunshot were also heard.

No arrests have yet been made in the girl's assault, and officers are investigating the incident.
