Police search for escaped inmate and suspected getaway driver in Oregon

SALEM, Oregon -- Police are searching for an inmate who escaped prison and the woman who drove him away, KPTV reported.

Officials said 34-year-old Jerry Teixeira escaped Saturday afternoon from the Mill Creek Correctional Facility in Salem.

Police told KPTV they believe a woman named Lacy Evans drove away from the facility with Teixeira.

Teixeira has been in custody since 2013 for burglary, drug and gun charges. He is not scheduled to be release until at least September of 2015, the station reported.

Jerry Teixeira is 6-foot-1, 190 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

Lacy Evans is 6-feet tall with short, platinum blonde hair.
