CINCINNATI (CNN) — A U.S. Postal Service (USPS) worker who tossed mail into a Dumpster in Bond Hill was suspended without pay and could face criminal charges, officials said, according to CNN news partner WCPO-TV.

The female worker was caught on video disposing of several letters, paychecks and notices instead of delivering them.

The Postal Service said it recovered all the mail and delivered it.

Not to be funny here, but who still gets a “paper paycheck” mailed to them at home? Even welfare checks, unemployment benefit checks, child support checks and social security benefits are issued electronically? My inquiring mind wants to know? *smh

Let’s forget paper checks for a moment & think of all of the incoming bills & debt people have . Or when you have major surgery & all the vendors hospitals use to outsource services. I was personally shocked. You have 15 different bills over the course of 3 months & you can’t pay what you never receive & they will send you to collections in a heart beat. And then my hospital had (4) different billing depts with bills due too. Ridiculous, right? Then let’s flip this, if you have health care fund that requires filling out tedious forms & faxing individual receipts to get reimbursed for out of pocket health expenses, lab expenses, prescriptions, transportation benefits (commuting), etc. Not everyone opts for direct deposit. Even short term disability checks. It’s a choice to opt for direct deposit or just mail you check. Even tax refunds. Both state & fed OWE me money (I overpaid), so when I do mail in my forms (finally), I would prefer my post office deliver my checks to the right address. Plus, I don’t want some of these companies even having my checking acct# & routing info. Oh & even though my postman delivers mail (half the battle) he continually fails to deliver mail to the WRONG address. Yeaaaaaaaaaars of this. Many complaints too & a few sharpie reminders on that misdelivered mail, because I have no idea what mail my neighbors are getting for me, if I’m getting their credit card statements, retirement benefits stuff, bank statements, grocery rebate cards, insurance stuff. Important docs, not junk mail.

I agree; surely they don’t think this is the 1st time it was done. And the percussion is what a verbal conversation; watch a video that will supposedly change the behavior; moved to a new location – only to do this again; watch another video; write a memo for their personnel file…

My payment did not post in July to my account and the company stated to me that it was probably lost in the mail. They did not care about informing the customers about the problem until the last minute and still wanted their money plus late fees. Funny that the August payment was received and posted to the account in two days and the other check still has not cleared. Who do you file complaints with regarding this matter? Is it because Congress said that they want to stop using the USPS period? The company is sorry to because they refuse to allow online payments on their site unless you have a checking account with them to avoid these type of problems.

Suspended without pay? The union let this happen? Ok she could face criminal charges, but will she be terminated or will she get her job back at the same pay rate when she gets out of jail?
