Seattle Weekly names Walter Kelley 'Best Meteorologist'

SEATTLE --  Who is the best meteorologist in Western Washington?

If you don’t say one of the members of the Q13 FOX News weather team you cannot be our friend.

Luckily the good folks at Seattle Weekly know what’s what!

This week they named our Walter Kelley “Best Meteorologist” in their annual Best of Seattle issue.

Matt Driscoll at the Weekly writes:

When I want weather, I don’t want 1,200 words on pyrocumulus clouds or virga or air particles smaller than 2.5 microns. I want a freakin’ five-day forecast with a lot of smiling sun faces wearing shades. And that is exactly the kind of light, friendly, easy-to-digest forecast that Q13’s Walter Kelley delivers. Here’s a guy who’s obviously having way more fun at his job than you are, and his job is to predict weather in Seattle . . . which has to be about as thankless as it gets. Kelley does it all with a smile on his face that says, “Sure, what I’m doing here is kind of a joke, but at least we’re all in on it!” Plus, he’s cute as a button. What more do you want out of a weatherman?

We heart you too Matt!
