Officers arrest man who flipped car, then ran away -- leaving injured passenger behind

SEATTLE -- Police arrested a man who flipped another car Wednesday afternoon and then ran away from the scene.

King County sheriff's deputies said they witnessed the man flip his Cadillac just before 4:00 p.m. at 44th Avenue S. and S. Cloverdale. When deputies approached the car, the man jumped out of the car and took off leaving an injured woman in the passenger's seat.

Other officers spotted the suspect running away in the 4700 block of Renton Avenue S. They lost sight of him in the neighborhood.

Witnesses told police they saw a man covered in blood going door to door in the 4800 block of S. Rose.

Several hours later police said they found the suspect and arrested him.

The sheriff's office is investigating.
