LOS ANGELES -- A 62-year-old 'serial stowaway' managed to get through TSA security at the airport in San Jose, Calif., board a Southwest Airlines flight and fly to Los Angeles -- all without having a ticket.

Marilyn Jean Hartman was arrested late Monday at Los Angeles International Airport after the airline discovered through a count that they had one more passenger on the flight than was on their manifest.

Hartman has been arrested six times before for trying to sneak onto flights at San Francisco International Airport, the San Jose Mercury News reported.

On Wednesday, Harman was asked how she was able to get past TSA document checks at the San Jose airport. She told KTLA-TV: “I don’t think it’s wise to say how I got through. I don’t want to help the enemy. I am first and foremost an American and I am very strongly proud of my country, so I don’t want to do anything to jeopardize security.”

Saying she was not sure where she had been headed, Hartman vowed not repeat the crime.

“I want to go with a paid ticket. … I want to do everything legal,” Hartman said. “It was clearly wrong on my part. … It was stupid and it is something I don’t want to repeat.”
