Sarah Espinosa, 22, was arrested on drunk driving charges, among others, after police say she drove through the doors of a Long Island firehouse while wearing a stolen python around her neck. (Nassau County Police Dept.)

NEW HYDE PARK -- A drunken woman wearing a stolen snake around her neck lost control of her car and slammed through the garage doors of a firehouse, damaging two fire engines with her Prius.

And no, the snake around her neck wasn't a stolen feather boa. It was the real deal.

According to PIX11, 22-year-old Sarah Espinosa was behind the wheel of a 2010 Prius around 7 p.m. Monday on a Long Island turnpike when she allegedly drove across the median and collided with another car. Her Prius careened away and collided with the New Hyde Park Fire House, crashing through the garage and damaging two engines.

The Prius slammed through the garage door of the New Hyde Park firehouse.

Firefighters, conveniently on scene, rushed to give Espinosa aid but got a little surprise when they opened the door to find a  ball python around her neck.

A police investigation later revealed before crashing, Espinosa had stolen the python from a nearby PETCO.

Following the crash, Espinosa was treated at a local hospital and released. She was slated to be arraigned Tuesday on charges of reckless endangerment, drug possession, DWI, petit larceny and reckless driving.

The snake was safely returned to PETCO.
