Local man struck by lightning while taking photos: 'I was thinking this was a really bad idea'

SEATTLE -- A local man talked Tuesday about the terrifying moment he was struck by lightning.

It happened last Saturday as Robb Montejano was walking through Seattle's Green Lake Park, hoping to get a few pictures of the weather to show his kids.
And then, bam!

"It was like my whole body, it just went bam though my body! It wasn't a zzzzz thing. At the time it hit, I wasn't thinking about anything, and then afterwards I was thinking, this was a really bad idea and I need to get out of here and get to safety."

Montejano wasn't hurt.

He posted his video to YouTube and, so far, it's received more than 164,000 hits.
Montejano said the weather was sunny last Saturday, then turned stormy very quickly. He said he first through the big booms were coming from the Blue Angels performing for Seafair and not lightning.

He quickly found out differently.
