EUGENE, Ore – What does a duck smell like?
How about an Oregon Duck?
If you guessed ‘fast food hamburger’ you would be right… kind-of.
The Oregon Ducks football program has announced their 2014 season tickets will be scratch-and-sniff.
According to tweets from the ticket office the scent will be that of a Carl’s Jr hamburger.
But the Washington Post reported that you won’t smell meat, instead the University’s Craig Pinten said tickets are scented to smell like the bun.
“Originally, we wanted different scents on the tickets, but said if we did that, it would cause all the smells to mix and be a potpourri of yuck,” Pintens said.
Oregon is no stranger to gimmicks on tickets. In years passed they have feature foil, texture and holograms on tickets.
