Have you seen this pharmacy robber?

KENT -- Police are hoping the public can help identify a man who robbed a pharmacy Tuesday night.

Around 9:35 p.m., a man who identified himself as Michael Edwards approached pharmacists at the Rite Aid in the 100 block of Washington Avenue North in Kent. He handed a technician his iPhone, which had a message on the screen inferring he planned to rob the pharmacy, and he had a gun and was willing to shoot.

The note demanded Oxycodone, police said.

The subject got away with 23 bottles of Oxycodone, worth an undisclosed amount of money.

Police called to the scene could not locate the man.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect as a black male with light complexion, 25-35 years old, with dark hair and a goatee. He was 5'9" tall and described as having a medium build with brown eyes.

Anyone who has information on the suspect is encouraged to call 911 or the Kent Police Department at 253-856-5808.
