Deputy shoots, wounds suspected home invader, another escapes

SEATAC -- Police are looking for one suspect in a deputy-involved shooting Tuesday afternoon in south King County.

A mom and her 3-year-old daughter were at their home in the 4600 block of South 176th Street Tuesday when two men broke in, the King County Sheriff's Office said.  The mother locked her and her daughter in the bathroom and called 911 as the two men allegedly burglarized the house.

Police arrived, and a shooting occurred after a brief fight.

The sheriff's office said one suspect was in the hospital and another was at-large following the shooting.

The missing suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s. He was wearing a white T-shirt and has a shaved head.

It is unknown if the suspect is armed. A K-9 unit was tracking the man.
