Body of 70-year-old man pulled from Martha Lake; apparent drowning

LYNNWOOD, Wash. – The body of 70-year-old man was pulled from Martha Lake Tuesday, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said.

The victim wasn't immediately identified, but the sheriff's office said its dive team was called out around 4 p.m. to the 16300 block of East Shore Dr. after family members reported that they had not seen the victim since around 2 p.m. after he indicated he would go swimming in the lake.

Aid crews on scene located the body within a few minutes.

The death is not considered suspicious at this time, the sheriff's office said.
