BELLEVUE — The city of Bellevue announced Tuesday it had reopened the swimming area at Chism Beach Park, which was closed to swimmers the previous day over concern of a “small sewer overflow in the vicinity of the park.”

“Water quality test results from samples taken yesterday indicate that the sewer overflow did not impact the swimming and access areas of Chism Beach Park, and the water is safe for swimming,” the city said in a news release.
