BAD NEWS: TE Anthony McCoy suffers Achilles injury -- again

RENTON, Wash. -- Seahawks tight end Anthony McCoy, who missed most of last season with a torn Achilles tendon his left leg,  suffered an Achilles injury in his right leg and was carted off the field at training camp Tuesday.

Coach Pete Carroll said the injury could be serious and called it a "huge heartbreaker" after McCoy had worked so hard to get back to full health.

McCoy, in his fifth year, was expected to join starter Zach Miller and incumbent backup Luke Willson to provide the Seahawks with three versatile, productive options at the position, Seahawks.com said. The other tight ends on the roster are inexperienced – Cooper Helfet, RaShaun Allen and Morrell Presley.

Seahawks.com said other injuries Tuesday included middle linebacker Bobby Wagner (tight hamstring) and left guard James Carpenter (tight calf), who started practice but did not finish. But neither injury is considered serious, Carroll indicated.

The Seahawks  also made a big move at right tackle Tuesday, adding veteran Eric Winston to the roster. He'll compete with rookie Justin Britt and Michael Bowie for the starting job.

Winston has started 119 consecutive games - that's the second-longest active streak. He was with the Cardinals last year -- and the Chiefs and Texans before that.

Meanwhile, Marshawn Lynch was still not in camp. And that's significant because he reportedly will now owe 15 percent of his signing bonus. He's also subject to a $30,000 fine for every day he misses.
