WMW viewer tips lead to arrest of Seattle fugitive of pimping out girlfriend, choking her puppy

FUGITIVE CAPTURED November 6, 2014 -- Seattle police say they have arrested Alexis 'Alex' Bumpers. FUGITIVE WANTED BY SEATTLE POLICE July 26, 2014 --  Seattle police say Alexis Bumpers, you goes by 'Alex', is accused of three crimes -- a bizarre Christmas day assault involving his girlfriend, promoting prostitution for pimping her out, and animal cruelty for viciously choking her puppy. "The suspect in this case went to the girlfriend's house where she has a puppy and she's holding a smart phone," said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner. "They get into a fight. He grabs the victim's wallet, then he grabs the victim's phone and he bites it till the screen breaks. That's not all. He then grabs the puppy and chokes out the puppy until it's unconscious, then he flees the scene." Bumpers got caught quick and detectives say his girlfriend later told them he was making her work the streets as a prostitute. Detectives say he showed up in court for the pimping charge in January, but slipped out before his case was called -- and hasn't been seen since Alex Bumpers is 27-years-old, has a felony conviction in Nevada, and could be driving a silver Jaguar that's possibly a 2011 XF.
