GREAT PHOTOS: Snoqualmie elk likes the mop-top look

NORTH BEND -- This animal has more hair on its head than our morning anchor, the esteemed Bill Wixey.

According to Livingsnoqualmie.com, an elk has been spotted roaming around the Mt. Si Golf course with what appears to be a mop stuck to its antlers.

The photographs, sent to Livingsnoqualmie.com by Jennifer Collins, show the mop-topped elk bending to eat. Others in the area have snapped photos of the elk, too.

A hunter told Livingsnoqulamie.com that the young elk's antlers are probably tender, as shown by the velvet-like covering. As soon as the antlers mature, the elk will probably rub his head on tree trunks and branches until the mop falls off.

Lucky guy. Wixey has to pay $35 for a haircut when he wants his mop-top gone.
