Police search for 3 men who kicked in family's door, demanded money

SEATTLE -- Police are looking for three men who allegedly kicked in a family's door and demanded money Tuesday morning in Seattle.

Officers received calls of a home invasion robbery around 3:30 a.m. in the 4600 block of South Orcas Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the distraught family, who said three unknown men busted into their home and demanded cash before taking off.

When the victims said they didn't have money, the suspects rifled through their objects and took what they pleased.

They even snatched a gold chain one of the residents was wearing on his neck, police said.

One of the suspects may have had a knife or a gun. They also threw objects at the victims while rummaging through their stuff, police said.

Police searched for the suspects but were not immediately able to find them. Officers believe the victims were chosen at random.

Anyone who has more information on this incident is asked to call 911.
