Police: Realtor's quick thinking saved her from THIS man

BOTHELL -- Police hope a sketch can lead them to the man who allegedly assaulted a realtor showing new homes in Bothell earlier this month.

On the evening of July 5, a female realtor showing homes in the 20000 block of 94th Avenue NE was locking the basement room of a model home when she heard a noise behind her. When she turned around, she spotted a man running down the stairs toward her, Bothell police said.

The suspect, who the victim recognized as a man who had  visited some of the for-sale homes earlier in the day, allegedly moved fast down the stairs at the victim in a threatening manner. The victim, sensing she was being attacked, threw a cup of coffee at the suspect just as he reached her and locked herself in a nearby bathroom.

The man allegedly pounded on the bathroom door. The victim told the man she was calling police, and he eventually left the model home, police said.

Before he left, the suspect caused damage to the bathroom door when he tried to knock it down.

Police hope someone can recognize the man in the sketch and identify him.

Anyone who has information on the suspect is encouraged to call 911.
