Search for missing Everett woman grows desperate

EVERETT -- Police are asking for the public's help finding a missing 89-year-old woman who has not returned home nearly a week after she went missing.

Officials say Ethel O'Neil drove herself to the Everett Mall at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, and she has not been heard from since.

An Endangered Missing Person Advisory was issued with O'Neil's disappearance.

She does not have any serious medical conditions, but officials say she does show early signs of dementia.

Tips indicate that she was last seen in the Lake Stevens area of Snohomish county Wednesday, asking for directions and trying to return to Everett.

O'Neil is described as 5-foot-6, 120-pounds with white hair and blue eyes.

She drives a light blue 1987 Chevy Nova.

If you know where O'Neil is or if you have any information, call 911.
