LAWRENCE COUNTY -- Could this be the latest fad in extreme sports?
A WHNT News 19 meteorologist out of Alabama posted the below to his Facebook page, showing an Alabama resident sod surfing after three inches of rain fell on July 18. The video was shared quickly around the web.
It is unknown if the Pacific Northwest is conducive to sod surfing, as it appears the ground needs a pretty specific set of rainfall and humidity to move in such a way.
But if sod surfing does turn into the next big thing, be sure to tell people you heard it here first.
