SEATTLE– Tony Goodnow, 22, of Auburn, was sentenced Friday to 8 1/2 years in prison for a DUI crash that caused the death of his girlfriend’s 5-year-old son last December.

He had pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide.

Goodnow was under the influence when he lost control of his pickup truck at a high rate of speed and slammed into a tree. His girlfriend’s 5-year-old son, Stacey-Izacc Holmes, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was killed in the crash in Auburn.

Analysis found Goodnow had a blood alcohol level of .16, twice the legal limit in Washington, and he had marijuana in his system.
