Double murder suspect wanted in Seattle, Ali Muhammad Brown, arrested in New Jersey

FUGITIVE CAPTURED July 18, 2014 -- Ali Muhammad Brown was arrested in New Jersey on Friday. Seattle police say West Orange police officers arrested Brown after he committed a robbery, finding him in the woods where he was living in a lean-in. Seattle detectives say they recovered the murder weapon. Brown was booked on his two murder warrants, and an arrest warrant for a carjacking in Point Pleasant, N.J., on June 29. FUGITIVE UPDATE July 1, 2014 Accused killer Ali Brown wanted for a double homicide in Seattle is now wanted for an armed robbery in New Jersey.  The Asbury Park Press reports that a Point Pleasant Beach police detective says Brown robbed a man at gunpoint outside Green Planet Coffee in New Jersey Sunday morning. Brown is originally from the East Orange, N.J., area.  He got away with the man’s wallet and keys, according to NJ.com, which posted surveillance photos of the robber. Seattle police say a detective in New Jersey has shown the surveillance pics to Brown’s relatives who confirmed it is him.  The US Marshals are helping local authorities search for him. The U.S. Marshals Pacific Northwest Fugitive Apprehension Task Force thinks he is still in the area -- and just need that one tip from you to track him down. Ali Muhammed Brown is definitely considered armed and dangerous. Washington's Most Wanted featured him last week, and now Seattle detectives are giving us a new look at him. This new photo shows a "selfie" brown snapped of himself -- and how ripped he is. Detectives say he's really into bodybuiling, and even though he knows he's wanted, could still be hitting gyms around seattle or tacoma to keep staying fit. Brown is accused of gunning down 27-year-old Ahmed Said and 23-year-old Dwone Anderson at 29th and King Street on June 1st. Police say the men may have been targeted because they are gay. "Why do we want him? well, obviously this guy is armed and dangerous," said Ret. Det. Myrle Carner. "Who knows what else he might do once he's confronted? So if you know this guy either call 9-1-1 or call the hotline right away because we need to get this guy off the street. The longer he's on the street, the more the chance he's going to hurt somebody or kill another person." Brown's criminal history includes a child sex crime and assault. He is 30-years-old, 5-foot-9, and 190 pounds with that big bodybuilder look Marshals say he has lived in Burien, Kent, and Federal Way.
