REDMOND, Wash --  Rumors are swirling on the Microsoft campus that layoffs are coming soon.

Bloomberg News cited sources saying the company is planning the largest round of job cuts in five years.

In 2009 the company cut more than 5,800 jobs.

Speculation has been rampant since Microsoft closed the deal acquiring Nokia.

Bloomberg sources said reductions would likely come in engineering, marketing and areas of overlap with Nokia.

A Finnish newspaper, Helsingin Sanomat, is already reporting 1,000 of the job cuts will be in Finland.

Tech analysts predict job cuts could come within days.
