Yuck! Two local beaches closed to swimming due to high levels of fecal bacteria

SEATTLE -- Dash Point State Park beach in King County and Twanoh State Park beach in Mason County were both closed to swimming Tuesday because of high levels of fecal bacteria in the water, the state Department of Ecology announced.
"Contact with fecal contaminated waters can result in gastroenteritis, skin rashes, upper respiratory infections, and other illnesses. Children and the elderly may be more vulnerable to waterborne illnesses," the department said.
