Deputy helps save crab fisherman's life in Sequim
SEQUIM -- A Clallam County sheriff's deputy helped save a crab fisherman who was having a heart attack.
Officials say 67-year-old Darrel Brewer and his friend were launching a boat to go crabbing when Brewer fell into the water face-down. Three men pulled Brewer out of the water and started performing CPR.
Deputy Mark Millet responded to the Oyster House boat launch around 7:00 p.m. Thursday.
The deputy took over CPR and revived Brewer who appeared to be having a heart attack. Brewer was taken to Olympic Medical Center for treatment.
Brewer's friend told officials he was relieved when the deputy showed up -- and credit Millet with saving Brewer's life.
