HOUSTON, Tex --  If you are a parent you have likely experienced a frantic drive to the hospital as labor began.

A birth educator in a Houston suburb decided he wanted to show what that frantic drive in real time.  When Kristin Dickerson told her husband Troy it was time, he strapped a GoPro camera to his head and they took off for the hospital.

The nearly 10 minute video tracks the couple’s 95-mile-per-hour early morning race through deserted city streets.

As the couple arrives at the hospital it becomes very clear that Kristin isn’t going to make it inside for her delivery.

Staffers rush out and Troy keeps rolling.  In the clip posted on YouTube the audio continues, but the video freezes as you hear the birth of their new baby.

After the birth has concluded the video resumes and the camera catches Truette Dickerson in his first few seconds of life nestled in mother’s arms sitting in a wheelchair still in the driveway at the hospital.
