WATCH: Lines form at pot stores across Washington

SEATTLE -- The first retail shop to sell marijuana in Seattle, Cannabis City, is set to open at noon.

The shop got its first shipment of 10 pounds early Tuesday morning from a grower in Bremerton. Several people lined up as early as Monday afternoon to buy on this historic day.

Cannabis City has 4 strains of marijuana and is expected to sell out. They are expecting 2,000 to 5,000 people today.

You have to be 21 or older to buy pot at these shops and must show an ID. Stores cannot be within 1,000 feet of places where kids gather.

You still cannot smoke weed in public and cannot drive high.

"I'm excited for everyone today, I'm excited for the state of Washington and hope this can build good things for us in the future," says Michael Merithew.
