One wildfire near Wenatchee contained as second one rages

WENATCHEE, Wash – The Skyline Drive Fire that burned more than 180 acres near Wenatchee over the week is contained and fire crews are now mopping up what remains.

At the same time the Rock Hill Wildfire 7 miles northeast of Chelan has burned more than 400 acres.

The Skyline Drive Fire was first reported Sunday morning and took more than 100 firefighters to get the upper hand on the fire.

The Sage Hills Trails and the Saddlerock Trail System remains closed for now while firefighters continue working in the area.

One structure has burned so far in the Rock Hill Fire and nearly 75 residents were under some kind of evacuation order.
