Woman found dead in Tacoma home, husband arrested

TACOMA -- Police arrested a man whose wife was found dead inside their Tacoma home.

According to Tacoma police, some of the woman's co-workers went to her home at 1:42 p.m. Friday after she didn't show up for work. When they arrived, they found the door wide open and the woman's body inside.

Officers said the woman's husband was spotted driving a stolen car in the 500 block of 49th Street around 2:00 p.m. Saturday. There was a short pursuit before the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody.

The man is being held in Pierce County Jail and could face a charge of 1st degree murder, police said.

The couple's identities have not yet been released.
