According to, a man allegedly ransacked a Minnesota home last week, stealing credit cards, cash and personal items. He also took time to log in to the home’s computer, spending a moment to browse Facebook.

The homeowner, noticing the crook used the computer and forgot to log out, decided to share the criminal’s photo and update his status to say, “Watch out for this guy, he’s a crook.”

The homeowner also left his own number on the criminal’s page, encouraging anyone who knew where the man was to contact him.

Local police used the information to track him down. He now faces up to 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines if convicted.

People are walking down the street oblivious to reality around them, texting, browsing and plugging in. Ironically it actually makes people less observant and intelligent.
