New search planned for Kyron Horman, missing Portland boy

Kyron Horman

PORTLAND -- Volunteers planned another search for Kyron Horman, a boy who disappeared from Northwest Portland in 2010.

According to FOX 12 Oregon, Kyron's biological mother Desiree Young is behind the new search. She is convinced Kyron's former stepmother, Terri Horman, knows something about what happened to the boy.

Kyron was just 7-years-old when he disappeared.

FOX 12 spoke with Young earlier in June, four years after Kyron's disappearance.

"They're not going to prosecute Terri until they find Kyron," Young told FOX 12. "That's why it's my mission. I am going to find answers. I am going to find Kyron if I have to do it myself."

The weekend search is private, but Young says she is working with investigators.
